For those of you not in the know Lewis Hamilton is a British Formula One racing driver from England, currently racing for the McLaren team. He was the 2008 Formula One World Champion. As a follower of F1 (and no, I do watch for the racing, not to swamp the track in drool!) I have noticed a considerable increase in fan following for our British driver, Lewis Hamilton, over the last couple of years. Still ashamed of the treatment he received in my current home – shameful.
Rafael Nadal, otherwise known as Rafa to his friends, is a one of the strongest tennis players of his generation – although formerly ranked world number 1 he was recently demoted to number 2! He mains ones of the greatest players of all time however.
Born on the island of Manacor, Mallorca he was introduced to tennis by his uncle, Toni Nadal. He went on to win the under 12´s championship aged 8. After going on to win further tournaments his father finally stated he needed to chose between football and tennis. Correctly Nadal chose Tennis.
As Jackie covered quite well in her nomination, Jason Statham has done quite a lot in a short time, e has been an Olympic Diver on the British National Diving Team and finished 12th in the World Championships in 1992. He has also been a fashion model, black market salesman and finally of course, actor. He got the audition for his debut role as Bacon in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) through French Connection, for whom he was modeling. He is mostly known for playing cockney wide boys but, lets be honest here ladies, he does it so well.
I have to admit when I first saw the nomination for Chris Evans land in my inbox I initially thought of an entirely different Chris Evans…So, do pardon my pause for just a second as I collected my thoughts…This Chris Evans is an American actor with a seriously hot bod (as opposed to the ginger haired guy who annoys the hell out of me). Prior to him taking the lead role in Captain American he was perhaps best known for his role in the films Not Another Teen Movie, Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Now, of course, everyone is talking about Captain America because we get to see so much of it…
What a body it is!
Ed Quinn, well known now for playing Stan the Vampire in True Blood, was born in Berkeley, California. After graduating with a History degree from the University of California he spent sometime working as a model in Paris, Barcelona and Mila. Eventually he landed some parts in international TV commercials and was drawn into acting.
I absolutely adored Ed Quinn as Stan in True Blood. A small part ended far too soon, but extremely noticeable. He has a presence on camera which makes him hard to ignore. Definitely seconded!
Born in England but raised in Australia. Rose to fame in the 1990s as a singer/entertainment. His first top single being “Only One” which finished number 16 in the charts. Gained further success with “Mysterious Girl”. After a quiet period he returned to the British media when he starred in “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” – the show which saw him meet and fall in love with glamour model Katie Price / Jordan. They later married and had children only to seperate sometime later to much fanfare and publicity.

An English actor, born in Hammersmith, who is most well known for his role as Chuck Bass in Gossip Girl. He also fronted the band The Filthy Youth alongside Benjamin Lewis Allingham, Jimmy Wright, Mitch Cox, and John Vooght. His location however has forced him to retire from the band but he has been talking recently of perhaps forming another band in New York.
Matthew Morrison, to all intents and purposes, is an extremely talented man. Not only he is a singler, songwriter and musician but he also stars on stage and is currently in the top show Glee (of which I have never seen a single episode – shame on me apparently).
He was born in Fort Ord, California and raised in Orange County, and like many Americans, makes references to his Scottish heritage. Showed talent in theatre from an early age leading him to take part in a musical with Jodie Sweetin during High School.
“There were all these beautiful, beautiful dancers. As a straight guy I had some room. There were the shared interests in singing and dancing, and I always find dancing with someone very evocative and sexual. I definitely hooked up with a lot of girls when I was a young guy on Broadway. It was fun, I guess. Very joyous and free” (Matthew Morrison)
Adrian Grenier was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico and raised in Manhattan, New York. First role was in 1997 in the independent drama Arresting Gena.
