Don’t have any idea who the guy who won is but as far as I can see he is just another clone of a dozen other actors no special qualities. Alexander Skarsgard on the other had is in a class totally on his own, ethereal beauty, angelic voice, and eyes that go down to the soul.

@Jessesgirl, I used to think that too until I actually saw the guy move and speak. Oh, how wrong I was! That’s why I created this:

You are a pity to me that such low opinion about Richard. To tell that he is a clone of tens other actors,it at least delirium.
You don’t have not enough special qualities in him?
You listen to his voice. As a black velvet. Look in his pure blue eyes. He is very modest. And about his multi-faced talent it is possible to tell one:he perfectly well plays and to it all under force to play.
You spoke that didn’t see his still where. I give to your advice with pure intentions.
So you see North and South, then Robin Hood, well and then to you not to come off his in any way.
P.S.
While Alex possesses with angelic charm, Richard possesses with demonic magnetism.
P.P.S
(sorry for my english)

Guy of Gisborne…John Thornton… Bad boy Richard Armitage just has the quintessential mesmerizing handsome haunted hero face… a still waters run deep face… one could plunge into his cool blue eyes and never want to come up for air…and of course he has a fabulous voice quality. He could look like a gargoyle and his voice alone would make him sensuously appealing. On top of that, he’s a decent actor. He gives some class to Robin Hood. Hard to imagine Marion could possibly prefer the boyishly cute Hood to Sir Guy. They aren’t even in the same sex appeal league. John Thornton cotton manufacturing baron of North & South just sizzles in one of the most romantic scenes on film. The character is a bit one dimensional… angry and/or disappointed through most of N & S but that’s the character’s storyline not the actor. Armitage is a terrific John Thornton. In fact, this is one case where the movie is more moving than the actual book. Handsome actors are a dime a dozen but Armitage has “it”…what they used to say in the 1930s and 40s for the personal qualities that transform physical beauty into intense radiating attraction. I’m a fan.
