Shia Saide LaBeouf career beginnings actually were in stand up comedy – his first gigs being in coffee shops around his neighbourhood. Was inspired to begin acting when a friend of his had a part in Dr Quinn Medicine Woman. Found an agent who liked him for his stand up routine.

He spent sometime working in Disney productions thanks to his comedic background before his film career really started to took off following lead roles in Disturbia and Transformers.

Mark Wahlberg is rapper turned actor and now film and television producer. Those of my generation will remember him as being “Marky Mark” – something he seems to dislike being reminded of (cant really blame him on that score – most especially when the full name was “Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch”).

Really rose to fame following his roles in Boogie Nights, Three Kings and The Perfect Storm – the latter probably being the one where he really started to display what he was capable of.

He is a staunch Roman Catholic and it appears we have his faith to thank for him turning his life around and abandoning “Marky Mark”. Thank God for small mercies, all puns intended.

For those of you not in the know Lewis Hamilton is a British Formula One racing driver from England, currently racing for the McLaren team. He was the 2008 Formula One World Champion. As a follower of F1 (and no, I do watch for the racing, not to swamp the track in drool!) I have noticed a considerable increase in fan following for our British driver, Lewis Hamilton, over the last couple of years. Still ashamed of the treatment he received in my current home – shameful.

As Jackie covered quite well in her nomination, Jason Statham has done quite a lot in a short time, e has been an Olympic Diver on the British National Diving Team and finished 12th in the World Championships in 1992. He has also been a fashion model, black market salesman and finally of course, actor. He got the audition for his debut role as Bacon in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) through French Connection, for whom he was modeling. He is mostly known for playing cockney wide boys but, lets be honest here ladies, he does it so well.

I have to admit when I first saw the nomination for Chris Evans land in my inbox I initially thought of an entirely different Chris Evans…So, do pardon my pause for just a second as I collected my thoughts…This Chris Evans is an American actor with a seriously hot bod (as opposed to the ginger haired guy who annoys the hell out of me). Prior to him taking the lead role in Captain American he was perhaps best known for his role in the films Not Another Teen Movie, Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Now, of course, everyone is talking about Captain America because we get to see so much of it…

What a body it is!
